    Voltage monitoring relays are used to monitor the alternating voltage level in low-voltage electrical networks. They are typically installed at the switchboard entrance alongside other protective devices, such as circuit breakers and residual current devices. Depending on the operating voltage and the type of low-voltage network (single-phase or three-phase), single-phase or three-phase voltage monitoring relays are used, accordingly.

    Voltage monitoring socket relays are designed to be connected to household sockets with a Schuko grounding contact.
